Hello My Name Is...

I have been teaching since 2003.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University.  I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading from Indiana State University.  I am licensed to teach 1st-6th grade Elementary and K-9th Social Studies.   I have been with LSC since the 2013-2014 school year.  That year, I began teaching 1st grade at Miami Elementary School.  I moved into the Title 1 Lead Teacher position at Oakland for the 2018-2019 school year.  I couldn't be happier.  I love teaching for LSC.  I LOVE being an Oakland Acorn and working with the students and families at Oakland.  Oakland is my home away from home.  


My hope is that you will find helpful resources on this page as we adjust to e-learning.  I will post links to sites that will help students who were receiving interventions, students flagged for dyslexia, and sites that may help any student.  I appreciate your patience as we figure e-learning out.  Please check the "useful links" tab to find resources.  I will continue to update this throughout e-learning.

The pictures below are pictures of my family.  My husband, JT, is Assistant Principal at Lafayette Jeff.  My son, Alex, is 6 years old and my son James is 3.
